Well, the spring had almost sprung, but today the snowflakes are falling again…..oh, how nice it will be when we can finally put away those gloves, scarves and heavy coats at last. Still, the evenings are already lighter for longer, and it certainly makes you more inclined to turn your back on the sofa and get back out into the big, wide world again. I have an interesting evening planned for all those of you who still need to be tempted away from your home comforts…… on Friday, 29th March (yes, it is Good Friday, but what the heck) we’re heading to foreign shores. Well, Austria to be exact, and to be even more specific: Bregenz. I have booked tables for us from 7pm, at “Kesselhaus”, Mariahilfstr. 29, 6900 Bregenz (www.kesselhaus-bregenz.at). If you are driving from the Lindau direction, drive through Bregenz, past the train station, and past the junction to the motorway. Keep going until you get to the crossroads/traffic lights with the small shopping centre and Interspar on the right hand side. You turn left here, into Heldendankstrasse, then left again into Gilmstrasse. At the end of the road, you should see the bar across to the right, on Mariahilfstrasse. For those of you who would like to, I suggest that we afterwards go on to the Metro Kino (5 – 10 mins walk away from “Kesselhaus”) to see the film “The Sessions” at 10pm. It stars Helen Hunt, who was Oscar-nominated for her role, as a therapist to a young, disabled man. I hope that all of our members from Vorarlberg will be glad that we are meeting on your “home-ground” this time and that you don’t have so far to travel. Hope to see you all there!
