Apologies for not having updated the site since November. Nothing happened in December – all of our planned events had to be cancelled shortly beforehand due to the increased Corona restrictions, unfortunately. We had a ramble in January, through the countryside of Sigmarszell and Hergensweiler, but I forgot to update this site. Sorry!

We have another ramble planned for this month, which will be on Sunday, 20th February. This time the meeting point will be on the corner of Wackerstraße /Schachener Straße and Giebelbachstraße in Lindau, not far from the tennis club. The two nearby bus stops (‘Giebelbach’), served by the number 4 bus, are close by. There’s a bus leaving the ZUP bus interchange at 10:40, which gets to Giebelbach at 10:44 so if everyone can be at the meeting point for 10:45 we will wait for five minutes and then set off punctually at 10:50. For those coming by car, there are a few parking spots in Giebelbachstraße. The Lindau-Aeschach train station is also only a short walk away. Space to park bikes is also around.

We are planning to walk through Schachen towards the Lindenhof Park, then doing a circuit back to the meeting point. It should take about one and a half to two hours. It’s mostly flat but parts of the route are not on asphalt or tarmac, so dress accordingly and bring an off-road buggy or pushchair if you’re coming with small children. Also, bring something to drink and a snack if you wish. If you intend to come, it would be really nice if you could let me know, so that we have some idea of numbers.
