Thanks to all of you who came along to our last meet-ups, at Zur Alten Werft at the end of March, and to Cafe Hugo during the afternoon at the beginning
of this month. I find it interesting to vary where we meet, and I hope that many of you have discovered new places to eat and drink since coming along
to our get-togethers. At the end of this month, we will be venturing away from the island, as the annual meeting/conference of psychotherapists has
just begun in Lindau, and for the coming fortnight all of the hotels, restaurants and bars are booked solid. Therefore, for our next meeting, on
Friday, 24th April, we have tables booked in one of the rooms at Hotel Landgasthof Köchlin (www.hotel-koechlin.de), Kemptener Str. 41. For those
who haven’t been there before, it is easiest to reach by the Stadtbus (route
number 1 – which runs between the island and Reutin – bus stop “Köchlin”) or
if you’re coming by bike, foot or car, then if you go past the LindauPark
shopping centre, past Lidl and follow the road around to the left, Gasthof
Köchlin is at the crossroads, on the left-hand side. There’s a car park
behind the hotel: just turn left at those traffic lights and then left
again. Tables are booked from 7.30pm onwards. There is a good selection of
food on offer, or if you just fancy coming along for a drink, then that’s
fine too.

Entertainment News

Big news this month, as our very own, star soul-singer, Karl Frierson, is
going to be making a rare appearance in Lindau, singing at “Zeughaus” on
Sunday, 21st June (8pm). Those of you who have been lucky enough to see Karl
perform live already will no doubt be thrilled that we’ve got the chance to
see him again on home-soil. Tickets cost 19€ (14€ for students and members
of the Zeughaus Verein) and are available from the tourist office,
Stadttheater, LindauPark info desk and also via the internet. See
http://www.zeughaus-lindau.de/ for more details and also for the link to buy
tickets online.
