Sorry about the late posting….our next night-out is in two days time, Friday, 30th September, at the Stadttheater Lindau. We are going to the “about love” concert, with our very own Karl Frierson singing with the pianist Peter Vogel. Please organise your own tickets, through the Stadttheater box office or the info desk in the Lindau Park shopping centre. The concert starts at 7.30pm, and we are planning on an aperitif at “Vin Perla” from 6pm and then meeting at the theatre at 7pm. Looking forward to what should be a great night! Hope to see you there!
Our next Ex-Pats get-together is on Friday, 26th August, at “Nana”, Lindau harbour (on the corner of the railway station). Tables are booked from 8pm as usual. I will actually be absent this time, but I have two super stand-ins: Mike Corrigan and Karen Kaiser, who will be acting as the “hosts” for the evening, and I’m sure you’ll be in good hands! (Sorry I forgot to post details of our get-together in July…..must be old age ;o( )
Hello everyone! For our meeting this coming Friday (24th) I have got a nice, eclectic, new venue, “37 Grad”, on Lindau harbour. Very handy for those of you coming by train, as it is literally around the corner from the main station entrance/exit, and if you’re coming by boat (for those of you from Bregenz or Friedrichshafen) then you’ll step off the ship and practically fall into the bar ;o). As the weather is not forecast to be particularly summery on Friday evening, I have taken the precaution of booking tables inside – if you’re coming to one of our … Continue Reading →
Hi everyone! As many of you may have seen from the local press a few weeks ago, our April “Royal Wedding Dinner” was a great success and proved to be a memorable evening. I cannot take any of the credit for it, as it was purely down to the creativity, hard work and boundless energy of Andrea Dutton-Kölbl, and I would like to say, once again, on behalf of all of those who attended the event, a very big thank-you to her. The Hoyerberg Schlößle, which was the venue for the dinner, also has a beer garden and heated terrace, … Continue Reading →
Dear Royal Wedding Party Guests, Having now recovered from Queen Mum’s Cocktails (thanks to Diana White for the idea!), ample portions of Chocolate Biscuit Wedding Cake, a brain-racking Wedding quiz (thanks to „Professor“ Mike Corrigan) and hearty choruses of „God Save the Queen“ and „Jerusalem“ – I would just like to thank all those of you who attended our Kate & William Dinner Party at the Hoyerbergschloßle Restaurant on Friday. You all contributed to making it an unforgettable evening for everyone, including Peter and Harald from the Restaurant who were totally gob-smacked at the turnout, the wonderful attire (particularly the … Continue Reading →
Afternoon everyone! Just a quick mail to remind you that today is the last day to book for our special dinner, on April 29th, to celebrate the forthcoming British Royal Wedding. Quite a few of you have now contacted the Hoyerberg Schlössle (08382 25295) to book – thank you! – however, for those of you who are interested, but haven’t got around to making a reservation yet, then today is your last chance! Hope to see you there! Amanda
Welcome to our new website! First of all, thanks to those of you who came along to our seventh “birthday” get-together last Friday. It was lovely to see you all and I’d like to say a big thank you to Andrea D-K for organising the delicious birthday cake! As most of you will recall, our night-out next month will be on Friday, 29th April, celebrating the Royal Wedding of William and Katherine. I am writing to you, slightly earlier than normal, as I am now pleased to be able to inform you of the exact details and information on how … Continue Reading →
Our next get together is on Friday, 25th March!!! Our coming night-out will mark the seventh “birthday” of the Ex-Pats Club, with our very first official meeting having taken place on 29th March 2004. With this in mind, it would be especially nice to see as many of you as possible this month, and there may even be a birthday cake….! I have booked tables from 8pm at “Restaurant am See”, which adjoins the Lindauer Inselhalle. For those of you coming by car, it is only a very short walk from the car park (the restaurant is sandwiched between the … Continue Reading →
