Hi everyone!

As many of you may have seen from the local press a few weeks ago, our April “Royal Wedding Dinner” was a great success and proved to be a memorable evening. I cannot take any of the credit for it, as it was purely down to the creativity, hard work and boundless energy of Andrea Dutton-Kölbl, and I would like to say, once again, on behalf of all of those who attended the event, a very big thank-you to her.

The Hoyerberg Schlößle, which was the venue for the dinner, also has a beer garden and heated terrace, with wonderful views of the lake and mountains. With the weather as it is at the moment (and fingers crossed that it continues!) I have booked us tables outside for our next meeting, on Friday, 27th May, from 8pm as usual. The chef/manager team at the Schlößle are arranging a special Fish & Chip Supper for our group, with a good portion of cod cooked in the traditional batter, along with an “amuse bouche” starter, plus a traditional British pudding, for the very reasonable price of 25 Euro per person. There will also be beer available on tap for those who fancy it. If you don’t like fish & chips, then there will be a selection of alternative snacks and meals on offer.

As cod is not normally readily available here in the quantities that the restaurant requires, a special order for the fish is going to have to be made. With this in mind, I would very much like to have an idea how many of you are coming (and planning on eating fish!) by the end of the weekend/early Monday, so that I can pass this on to the guys at the Schlößle. PLEASE mail me back asap if you would like to join us.

Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have questions, ideas, information, etc………

Best wishes
Amanda
