Sorry for being so bad at keeping this site updated over the last few months. I have been sending out the monthly newsletter to everyone on the mailing list and have been posting our events on our Facebook page, but never seemed to have managed to put anything on here. We usually meet on the last Friday of each month for our evening get-together, as well as our regular Coffee Club meetings mid-month, so if you’re reading this and want to get a reliable update, just drop me a line on our email address (lindauexpats@gmail.com).
I have booked somewhere away from the island for our next meeting – but only a short distance away: “Weinstube Reutin” (https://www.weinstube-reutin-lindau.de/), Kemptener Str. 45. It’s easy to find: if you follow Kemptener Strasse from the Lindau Park, past Lidl, it is on the main crossroads, across the street from Gasthof Köchlin. There are a few parking spots behind it and also in front, but if you can come by bike or public transport (the bus stop ‘Köchlin’ is right outside the restaurant, on line 1, which goes directly from the railway station) then all the better. More car parking is available, at the Blauwiese car park, a short walk along Reutiner Strasse. I have booked tables for Friday, 31st August, from 7pm. We’ll be outside in the beer garden if the weather is good, but have the possibility to go indoors if it is cold or wet. There’s a good variety of food on offer, and reasonable prices (compared to many of the harbour venues!). If you have English-speaking family and friends around, bring them along. All are welcome.
